Testimonials

"A few weeks after moving into Heritage Harbour the phone rang: 'Welcome to the community', said the caller. 'We're having a meeting on the advantages of joining the Heritage Harbour Health Group next week, we welcome you and your husband to come and hear what is offered to our residents.' 'Thank you very much,' I answered. I was 61 and my husband would soon be 63. 'Do you think we should consider joining,' I asked my husband who responded, 'Well let's go and see what they have to offer.'

We had no way of knowing what a decisive, important step we were about to take. Yes, after hearing what the Heritage Harbour Health Group offered if anything should happen to us, we decided to sign up, we wanted that protection. The years went by and all was well, and then in 2003 it happened. My husband was struck down by Parkinsons Disease and we needed help. And just as was promised 14 years ago when we signed up and became members of the Health Group, they were there, just up the street in our own neighborhood. For three years I was able to keep my beloved husband at home right by my side until he passed away. My "Angels" took such fine and loving care of him; I could leave from 9a.m. until 1p.m. every day to "recharge" my batteries knowing that he was in the best of hands. Later when I needed three more hours in the evening they were there. When he required medical equipment there they were to attend to all the necessary calls to insure that it was taken care of quickly and efficiently. This too helped to take the burden off the family.

Oh yes, when we moved to Heritage Harbour we certainly moved into a Safe Harbour. The Heritage Harbour Health Group embraced us in our time of need with love and caring and always, always made sure we had the efficient help we so desperately needed. None of us know when adversity will strike, let's all insure that the Heritage Harbour Health Group will always be here for our community." -Selma Wolkow

"I wish to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to you and your fine staff for their exceptional assistance during my recent illness. You and your staff exhibited quintessential professionalism and compassion in the assistance rendered in a very trying situation. Particularly, I wish to cite Ms. Mary Perzanowski, R.N., for her prompt assessment of my problem and quickly calling for the emergency team who transported me to Anne Arundel Medical center ER. Ms. Perzanowski stayed with me while I awaited the team's arrival and ensured I was attended to until transport. As a registered nurse who enjoyed over twenty-six years in that profession, I feel eminently qualified to assess the quality performance of Ms. Lawrence and her staff. They are first rate! The Health Group is an outstanding asset in their service to this community. Please accept my heart felt thanks for your significant contribution in helping me regain my health. You were instrumental in achieving that goal. god bless you and your staff for your dedication and commitment to the people of this community." -Amy D. Geissinger Colonel (Ret.) US Army

"I love this place [HHHG]. I love the care and concern we get. We are very confident in the nurses. The convenience isn't bad either!" -Jean Josenhans

"Were it not for my mother's association with the Heritage Harbour Health Group she would've been in a nursing home years before she had to go. The kindness and compassion that was extended to me and my mother was very much appreciated." -Mark Biggerstaff

"You can't appreciate it until you need it. It's difficult to comprehend how fortunate we [the community] are to have them [HHHG] here. They are interested in our health and welfare. When you need them, they're here." -Lou Levine

"I'm thankful for the wonderful help I received when I had 2nd & 3rd degree burns on all the fingers of my right hand (after a fire in the kitchen). It was a pleasure to come to the office and have the dressings changed daily. Also, it was helpful to have nursing services available when my husband was ill prior to his death." -Chris Maskaleris

"I like being able to have my blood pressure taken and other medical services. It's a great peace of mind, being a member. My biggest regret was not knowing about the Health Group when I first moved here and my husband was sick. It would have been a great help." -Grace Wigle

"It's [HHHG] my security blanket. I called the health group when I wasn't feeling well because I didn't have the nerve to call my doctor. Mary came out to the house and took my blood pressure; it was 220/120. I went straight to the ER and everything turned out all right. The Health Group is work every penny." -Claudia Lockard

"I am not sure what I would have done when Al was sick. The Health Group helped immensely. The family thanks them as well. Also, when I was ill recently a nurse visited me, and she gave me reassurance of my health status." - Margaret Nagy

"I don't know how I would live without it, living alone I feel so much more secure. I use it for my B12 shots monthly. They have been just wonderful to me. It's just priceless." -Jessie Guyer

"Through my darkest hours, during Bill's illness and after losing him, I always counted on HHHG for wise counsel, caring and friendship. They were there for me every step of the way. Maeve and her entire staff were a phone call away and listened. Just having someone to listen and, in turn, guiding and encouraging me was a gift beyond measure. People often ask, 'What does the Health Group do?' I tell them that all they need to do is ask and they'll be amazed at what HHHG can do. And, if they can't get it done, they'll know exactly who can get it done." -Audrey Batchelor

"We had a bad accident and the Health Group handled everything here and they had everything set up for us when we came home from the hospital from Florida. It was very, very good, and a big help. Also, they have all kinds of advice." -William Harte

"My mother would not have had such a good life these past few years if it wasn't for the help that the Health Group provided in her life." -Mark (Jackie Wamaling's son)

"I have been very, very satisfied with the service and understanding I've received from the group. I don't know what I would have done without you! The help you've provided and the many questions you've answered have been absolutely necessary to my recovery. I cannot imagine why everyone is not a member. Perhaps they have always enjoyed good health and don't anticipate any change. Well, ha! Neither did I. I could never have written the scenario as it unfolded beginning last February. I was most grateful to have help, advice and understanding, as was my family!" -Jean Groo

"I literally would not be here if it weren't for a Health Group nurse's swift diagnosis and her contact with my doctor some time ago. And i could not be living here today without my exceptional aide helping me at varying hours and the ongoing support of Janine and Laura. I feel so lucky to live in the one unique community that offers this!" -Margery Ettlinger
